Daniel G. Klimoski: Calendar

Loved every minute of it, got to play the 3rd sax book w/5 saxes, played the clarinet solos for the big dance number at the end, and some very dramatic tenor sax solos.

A brief three weeks, possibly to start up again once the season becomes busier...

For now, I am on hold for this performance venue. My CD's are on sale there, and I hope to be back once things lighten up a bit...

I received two comments from 2 different audience members using the word "beautiful". I loved playing Kol Nidrei, as it was in my soul to do so. Unforgettable, and a great way to be heard by an appreciative Jewish community. I hope to play there again.

My 1st time playing at Nirvana. It was so awesome and fun. James Rajiah really liked it and the audience seemed like a gathering of sweet lost souls who get together to find themselves through music. I played all kinds of smooth jazz and sang some pop tunes. There were 2 guest singers, Lisa sang Summertime in a funky jazz arrangement and a very nice gentleman who had just lost his wife sang Willie Nelson's You Were always on My Mind, as I accompanied on the piano. It was very, very touching. It made me wish I had a true and beautiful wife. Ah well, maybe the next lifetime...

It was awesome, so much fun, and great folks to work with, can't say enough positive words about this event, hope to be there next year! This is the event that launched us (myself and Chris Parfitt on trombone) the week before:

The Easy Street Strollers played their first gig on July 4th, 2010 at Cafe Matisse. Along with great traditional Jazz standards like Basin St. and Bourbon St. Parade, we performed the full arrangement of The Stars and Stripes Forever and The Star Spangled Banner, where audience members stood up and sang along. It was an awesome way to begin a live group playing Jazz, the musical art form attributed to our country. Three Cheers!!! We'll be parading with the Queen and Mascot for the Mango Festival next week!

It was a 2.5 + year gig, and a great experience. As mentioned, I am on hold until further notice due to the downturn in their business this year.
