Feedback from a client for 70th wedding anniversary

When the musical plans I had been working on for my parent's 70th Wedding Anniversary did not materialize, I was desperate. I went to 'Mr. Music" hoping they could help me find a person who would sing and play the piano to entertain at the event I was planning that was now less than a week away!!. David went above and beyond. He didn't just give me names and wish me luck. He offered to contact some musicians he was familiar with to see if they were available.

David promised to call me by the next day, no later than noon to tell me if he was able to get an available musician. The next day, as promised, he called with great news.He had made contact with a musician he was familiar with, Dan, and arranged for him to entertain. Dan was terrific, everyone there enjoyed his music, he played my parent's special tune and brought back many nostalgic memories for everyone. Thank you again, David, for going above and beyond for a perfect stranger to your store !!

Cathy Wangenstein

As of 5/'09 I am now a Pro Artist for CE Winds.

www.christopherelliottinc.com/

Because of the high quality and amazing playability of the saxes I've recently gotten from them, I'm happier than ever with my sound. As one of my sax teachers, Joe Viola stated, "It's in the S--O--W--U--N-D-" (while emphasizing the sound of the word sound). Amazing concept, and thanks to CE Winds my tone is the best it's ever been on all three of these great saxophones!
Thank You Mark and Brian!!

Guest comments from a performance at Shell Point

I wanted you to know of the delightful dining experience my husband and I shared at the Crystal Dining Room last night for the New Orleans theme night.

The variety of Creole style food was delicious! -- from the carving station of pork with mustard sauce, catfish, sweet potato crunch, rice, and special salad to the delicious desserts, including Red Velvet cake!

If this wasn’t enough, the musicians that performed were excellent. The gentleman played the saxophone, flute, and rhythmic organ with popular New Orleans jazz music, and the lady who sang had a voice that sounded just like Karen Carpenter! It was very nice dinner music.

I looked around the room as it began to fill up (we were in there from 4:30-5:30) and noticed residents tapping their feet to the music as they ate, as well as offering “requests” to be sung.

I would say it was a HIT and your collaborative efforts with Elizabeth in Activities proved to be a great partnership. I hope this is offered again real soon.

Thanks for a nice evening.

Sincerely,

Cindy

Dear Friends,
I have moved to Cape Coral, FL! I am the new Music Teacher at Cape Coral Charter School, and so far it's been an exhilarating and successful change - very positive in many ways. On the weekends I have been sitting in at such jazz venues as Ellington's on Sanibel Island and The Cafe in Naples with Bob Zottola, famous trumpet player who has played with everybody from Benny Goodman to Chick Corea. He's a great jazz improviser and has invited me to join him at his session there anytime. I have also played with a tenor sax/clarinet player who is 84 years young, Jerry Winner, who lived and played in New York on 52nd St. during it's jazz heydays. He told me he turned down the opportunity to tour with Lous Armstrong three times because he had 5 young children! I hope to be playing like this guy some 30 years from now. Go Jerry!
